I have been studying the business of music for years. As formats changed from CDs to digital, I found myself lost in all the new ways to make an income. I have spoken with many individuals and read many articles, but it only confused me more, to the point I considered giving up. I got the opportunity to attend a class offered by Strangelady, which reignited my desire to make money off my music. Not only was the class informative, but the information was presented in such a way that you could not help but want to be successful. Mrs Strange took the time to make sure we understood everything, even extended class time to answer any questions. She is always available if you need sound advice. When I was introduced to Strangerlady, I had just found out that I could write music. I had heard so many stories about how artists have had their music stolen or how they have missed money from not having their music protected properly. Strangerlady taught me about the business side of the music game. I’ve learned how to register my music under BMI and how to properly insert the percentages of the ownership rights, so that I and everyone involved in my songs will receive credit. I’ve also learned how to distribute my music to different platforms, such as Spotify, iTunes, and SoundCloud. I’m so happy I was able to attend Music Business 101 because now I can use what I learned to protect my music, and I have someone in my corner that I can trust

to guide me.

If I hadn’t met Strangelady, I would’ve given up a long time ago. I didn’t know where to start or what direction to go in, but she taught me the ins and outs of this music business to be successful and the importance of being INDEPENDENT! At first I thought getting signed by a major label was the only way, and if I didn’t get signed, rapping was pretty much over. After attending her class, I feel like it’s very much possible. She gives you the Blueprint to being an artist step-by-step, and you won’t learn this knowledge anywhere else. If you want some change, f**k with Strange!
